I’m not sure what my take is in on the ~~L. Ron~~ Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes burgeoning friendship with David Beckham and ~~Victoria~~ Posh Beckham? Hell. I don’t particularly care about David, Tom, Katie — well, maybe Katie a little – or Posh as individuals. But, what’s interesting is they’re hangin’ out together - socially - and it makes you think - what the fuck?

This past weekend, Tom and Katie were in attendance with Posh as David’s Real Madrid team won the Spanish ~~futbol~~ ~~soccer~~ ~~football~~ Kick the ball in the goal approxiamately twice a game Title. For David, it was his farewell to European professional soccer before he bores America to death as a member of the L.A. Galaxy in August. For me, it was trip to explore the possible reasons these power couples would want to hang together. Here’s seven reasons I came up with:

#1 - Tom is a closet gay man and is in love with David. I know, a stretch, and highly creative of me.

#2 - Katie saw David’s movie Bend It Like Beckham - she hopes he can help bend Tom Straight Like Cruise.

#3 - Tom had a fear of soccer growing up, as most 30 year old + men can attest, that continues to this day. He hangs with the Beckhams to try and overcome it, since he doesn’t believe in psycho-therapy of any kind.

#4 - Tom had a girlish infatuation with the Spice Girls for years - in his mid 20’s.

#5 - David wants Tom to teach him to fly jets at Top Gun - give him the call sign of ”Cole Trickle”.

#6 - Posh is getting information on how to tan at a real beach and not a tanning bed. Hopes orange is chic in L.A.

#7 - Tom wants the two to star opposite John Travolta in L. Ron Hubbard’s highly anticipated Battlefield Sunset Blvd - The Revenge of Scientology on Hollywood!
