Sexy golfer Natalie Gulbis officially removed the ‘Anna Kournikova Monkey’ off her back by actually winning a professional tournament as a professional — go figure. Sunday she took down the Evian Masters in a playoff against Jang Jeong of South Korea. From ESPN:
The tall, blond Gulbis has been one of the best-known players on the LPGA tour. She sells a calendar on her Web site featuring shots of her in athletic apparel and swimwear, has a reality show on The Golf Channel and her digitized likeness appears in Tiger Woods’ eponymous video game.
Gulbis, who won $450,000, gave part of the credit for her win to a back injury two months ago that forced her to take a month off and make some adjustments.
“I had to change my golf swing because of my injury,” she said. “I was kind of thinking this might be a blessing in disguise.” [SOURCE]
Damn. My notion of golfers having to be fat, heavy drinking smokers is shot to hell. Also, Sunday victory gear could take on a whole new perverse meaning with Natalie in the victory circle.
I’m thinking her stretched out bikini poses must have been the reason for her new championship swing!
