As if the region’s total domination of western civilized sports wasn’t enough, New England has a new ballgame to they want to conquer. Global warming.
Gillette Stadium, home to the hated beloved New England Patriots will be deploying wind power to help serve the stadium’s power needs during and after all of the New England Patriots games. The project called “Green Power Behind the Patriots” was agreed upon by Patriots and Constellation Energy on Tuesday.
“The New England Patriots organization is committed to reducing our collective carbon footprint,” said Jonathan Kraft, President of the New England Patriots and The Kraft Group. “Building upon our already successful relationship with Constellation NewEnergy, we are asking them to help us meet our goal of matching each game with renewable energy.” [LINK]
Jeez. Patriots 9 -0…..Celtics 7-0…..Red Sox another World Series….now we’ll have to give the people of New England credit for stopping global warming?! Can we send them to the middle east to broker a peace with Al Qaeda? Or to Africa to plant a thousand gardens? Or better yet, to the CBS studios to ransack the set of Two and A Half Men….as long as we’re on the subject of making the world a better place.
