ISIAH THOMAS AND HIS KNICKS, WITH HELP FROM JESSICA SIMPSON, PLEAD TO THE WORLD FOR TIME

Hey there PartMule faithful!  Happy Friday!  Damned if it doesn’t feel like Wednesday, but my liver can take it….

I’m here to report on a bit of an exclusive!   We awoke this fine morning to an odd e-mail from Knicks President and Head Coach Isiah Thomas.

In an effort to squash the growing swell of bad press, the perceived no-win situation at MSG….the torrent of negativity toward Thomas’ coaching, his demeanor, his ego, his wandering penis, his…..umm….ok…his everything…..the Knick coach has asked his good friend Jessica Simpson to lead the doubting Knick world in song, using this fine media outlet in that request, so the Knicks would be given some time….time to rebuild….time to nuture….A time to heal.

[Jess leads in, to the tune of We are the World]

There comes a time
When we heed a certain call
When the Knicks must come together as one
There are people traded
And it’s time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can’t go on
Pretending day by day
That a trade, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of
Isiah’s great big family
And the truth, you know cash is all we need

[Knicks players join in chorus]

We are the Knicks
We are Isiah’s children
We are the ones who can’t make a layup today
So let’s start re-ne-go-giating
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re lazy our whole lives
But it’s true I’ll make a better day
Cause it’s all about me

[Isiah leads]

Send them your penis…er…heart
So they’ll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As I’ve shown us by turning stone to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand

[Knicks players in chorus]

We are the Knicks
We are Isiah’s children
We are the ones who can’t make a layup today
So let’s start re-ne-go-giating
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re lazy our whole lives
It’s true we’ll make a better day
Cause it’s all about me

[Jess continues…]

When you’re down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There’s no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well, let us realize
That a change will only come
When we stand together as one

[Knicks players in chorus]

We are the Knicks
We’re Isiah’s children
We are the ones who can’t make a layup today
So let’s start re-ne-go-giating
There’s a choice we’re making
We’re lazy our whole lives
But it’s true I’ll make a better day
Cause it’s all about me

MARDY COLLINS SLAMS J.R. SMITH LAST YEAR IN BASKETBALL BRAWL GAMEJEFFRIES CHOKES CARMELO ANTHONY AFTER ANTHONY HAYMAKER

Tonight will be the first time in 11 months the New York Knicks and the Denver Nuggets have met since their infamous basketball brawl last year.  You’ll recall the bad blood between coaches George Karl and Isiah Thomas regarding the handling of the Larry Brown situation, the Isiah Thomas’ warnings to Nuggets players to “not go to the basket…it wouldn’t be a good idea….” during the Nugget blow-out, and the subsequent Knick horse collar tackle and Carmelo Anthony hay-maker that instigated the all-out brawl.  Some of the post fight fall out,

Thomas escaped punishment even though the Nuggets accused him of being the instigator.

“There’s no question in my mind it was premeditated,” Karl said the day after the penalties were handed down. “He made a bad situation worse. He’s a jerk for what he’s trying to do.”

Thomas had accused the Nuggets of running up the score and disrespect.   Which Thomas found himself whining a lot about last year during Knick blow-outs.   Asked this week about the Karl jerk comment, Thomas replied.

“Denver is a good team,” and walked away.  [LINK TO STORY]

I love it when Isiah Thomas has to bite his tongue!  His team sucks.  His coaching sucks.  His management skills suck.  And he has to relive another person on this planet calling him a jerk and not respond?!   So I say….”Hey, Isiah.  Jerk, jerk, jerk, jerk….. Hey, Isiah.  I went to the jerk store and saw you on the shelf!……. Hey, Isiah.  If you were a piece of beef you’d be jerked.   Hey, Isiah….I hear in Jamaica the favorite dish is You chicken….!”

ISIAH PIMPS OUT CHEERLEADERS IN GOTHAM

ISIAH THOMAS RUNNING KNICKS INTO THE GROUND

Following up on his outstanding performance in federal court, where he was found guilty of crushing that insignificant career thing of a woman.  Isiah Thomas is now defending his New York Knicks rebuilding path and believes the team is correcting itself, but that time is needed to let things unfold with player personnel moves and with the cohesion of team unity and flow.

“When you put it in real NBA time frame, where we were starting from, most organizations take a good nine, 10 years to turn things around, get back in the playoffs and everything else,” said Thomas, whose team opens the season tomorrow in Cleveland. “Look at Chicago, who’s there, now look at Washington, who’s there. When you go back to where those franchises started when they were rebuilding, those are long, long grind-out years where you have to do it.”  [LINK TO STORY]

Sorry, dog.  The real world is over here, I think you took a left at Fantasy Land Dr. a few years back and have lost your grip.  I tried the “a good nine, 10 years…” with my boss a few years back and it really didn’t fly.  I figured I’d fuck around a few years, read the sports page, nap in my car …then really get down to my job by year 7….and by year 9 I’d be the golden child having figured out that tricky dispensary issue that had vexed management for so many years.

Oh….my job?  It’s really not that important, but let me ask you this.  When you use the bathroom at a fast food joint and you go to wipe your ass, isn’t it imperative you have ample toilet paper each time?  You expect it, right?  Yeah, I thought so.

…maybe ever?  Well, besides Evander Holyfield.  But not sure if he ever left….

The New York Knick’s Allan Houston is trying to comeback after two-years of retirement and it ain’t going too well so far.  Yes, it is preseason.  Yes, he is an older veteran who can sit the pine while the His Worshipness Isiah Thomas works schemes, etc. for younger dudes, but the man has two-year rust.   Classic “hanger on” example in professional sports.  Now it appears he won’t even make the team.

Here’s some details of last nights preseason game and reactions:

Allan Houston said he wasn’t angry. But he was clearly disappointed.

And that disappointment almost is certain to rise after Isiah Thomas admitted Houston’s chances of making the team are poor.

Houston, seeking a comeback with the Knicks after a two-year retirement with an arthritic knee, was benched for the Knicks’ 110-94 loss to the Nets in the Meadowlands last night.

Thomas noted, “Unfortunately, the part of the business we’re in you really do have to break a lot of hearts and crush a lot of dreams.”

Asked if “slim” would be a good way to describe Houston’s chances, Thomas responded, “I would say that’s accurate.”  [LINK TO STORY]

I prefer to remember Allan in his glory days.  Shooting 39% from the field, scoring 18.6 points, grabbing one rebound, and dishing one assist per game.  Yes, the man could shoot.  But beyond that he was an average NBA player…at best.    Oh, did I forget to mention his matador defensive skills?

As for Isiah’s ability to “crush a lot of dreams” there is no question.   We know he’s crushed the Madison Square Garden checkbook by $11.6 million for his harassment skills.   Oh, which was due to that woman’s little career thing being crushed too.

The latest out of Gathom and it’s lovely NBA team is just down right weird.   A former executive with the New York Knicks is suing the Madison Square Garden organization for some pretty bizarre shit.   This from the NY Daily News:

Knicks head coach Isiah Thomas urged a team cheerleader to flirt with NBA referees to “make them happy” and Stephon Marbury had sex with a team employee who felt coerced into the liaison, bombshell court papers charge

The stunning accusations surfaced in papers filed yesterday by fired Knicks executive Anucha Browne Sanders…

The sordid allegations include:

  1. Thomas allegedly urged Knicks cheerleader Petra Pope to cozy up to the refs before a game against the Nets in 2004.
  2. In November 2005 a member of Browne Sanders’ staff told her and another female Garden executive that she had sex with Marbury in a car after a boozed-filled night at a “gentleman’s club.
  3. Browne Sanders claims Marbury called her a “black b—-” after she complained that the star guard’s cousin - who also was employed by the Knicks - had been making graphic sexual comments to her staff. [SOURCE]

Isiah Thomas has always been a scumbag.   Great player.  Shady dude.   I personally have no doubt that he’d pimp out his cheerleaders to get an edge on the court.   He’s submarining the Knicks into further oblivion with his on court deals, as if they needed to go further, so why not off the court?

And none of these allegations surprise me about Marbury.    Yes, he sells his sneaks for $14.98  but there’s still some serious hood in the brother.   Although, I’m sure the NBA has 30 other behind-the-scenes incidents that never surface and become public like this one.
